Interaction is the name of her game...

These past few weeks, Ellie has really ramped up her interaction levels, and it has been pure joy to be the recipient of her smiles and silly faces.

She has become obsessed with her tongue. She moves it, she sticks it out, she blows bubbles with it. So far, there has been no attitude from her causing her to give us a purposeful snarky reaction...phew!
She is holding her head up higher and for longer during the infamous "tummy time." For the most part, she enjoys this time, and "talks" a lot while she is looking around at everything. She likes to give loud (hopefully happy?!) shrieks if we tell her what a good job she is doing at it.

She LOVES anything above her that moves around. The bears on her bassinet are a great form of entertainment, and she "talks" to them quite a bit as they are slowly moving around above her.

She likes to wildly wave her arms around when she is being talked to...sometimes this results in Ellie hitting herself (gently) on the head. More often than not, this startles her for a few seconds, but she is able to brush it off and carry about with whatever she was doing previously.
And...my favorite...she occasionally breaks out into a full out grin. Maybe this will end up turning into a laugh someday?
We love this girl, and we love watching her change.
