First Museum Trip - to the Shedd Aquarium!

During my parent's "staycation" in Chicago, they invited Ellie and myself to go for VIP treatment thanks to a friend of my dad's to the Shedd Aquarium. We got to go to the front of the line to get our tickets, free entry into the Wild Reef exhibit, and in to see the "Fantasea" show that they now have instead of their old dolphin show. In all, it was quite a day.

The live feeding at the big aquarium happened just as we were getting there. It was fun to see Ellie actually focusing and following some of the fish as they were moving around the tank.

At the "Fantasea" show there was a story, animals, and magic moments and lighting. Tuckered out from the day's events, Ellie slept through the majority of the whole show.




















At the end of our time, Grandpa wanted Ellie to have a memento from her first museum visit, and he bought her a little penguin. She woke up in time for us to take a picture with her new little friend.














All in all, it was a great day, and we were happy to get to join Gramma and Grandpa for such a fun time at the Shedd Aquarium. Thanks for everything! It was a blast!
