G to the R to the ANDMA

My Grandma Vera is turning 85 tomorrow. Our family got together to celebrate this occasion by meeting together at Windsor Park in Carol Stream. Dinner was wonderful. Jed and I both got the ribs, and don't worry, there were plenty of 'sides' to go along with it.

Great Aunt Margene fed Ava black cherry ice cream for the first time. At first, Ava didn't know what to think and her face looked like it was shocked and disgusted at the same time. After just a few bites, however, she was like a little bird, waiting with her mouth open in anticipation. She also held up her cup throughout dinner waiting for other people to 'cheers' her.

Here are the grandkids, the cousins, the cousin-in-laws, and the great-grandkids. It was fun for us to meet in the music room to open gifts. Calvin cracked us all up in the way that he was taking the stroller and using it as a walker to cruise around and laugh. He is a riot as well. What cute first cousins once removed I have.

What a memory for all of us. Grandma got what she really wanted: her family gathered together. She also told me she loves the special (wink-wink) candy you gave her...she's been going for one piece at a time and ends up eating several! Ah, the
joys of sweets. Speaking of sweets, Dad LOVES your brownies with the chocolate chunks!!!
