Earlier this summer, we found a bike trailer on craigslist that was a wonderful thing to have. However, seeing as it barely fit in our garage, we figured some things out there needed to go. Hence the start of our time with craigslist began. So far, we've sold an old bike, a wardrobe, an old kitchen cabinet, and an old desk/sewing machine. The garage is starting to feel a lot bigger already.
The clencher is still my car that needs to go. Sad as it is, it is not practical to have to keep and be responsible for THREE cars. YIKES! And, after a lot of deliberation, we've decided that it is for the best for my Cabrio to find a new owner.
Seeing as we won't have this extra car laying around by the time Ellie is grown up and sixteen, we figured we let her have a chance in the driver's seat before it goes. She took to it really well - look out!
As Ellie is getting more aware and observant, she has started to go ga-ga for a little pot on my dresser that is stocked with bracelets and necklaces. We can no longer just have her happily look in the mirror without her attacking all that is to be jeweled. (Mind you, they are not actually jewels, I am guessing to her that might be her interpretation of all that is metal, shiny, and makes special tapping/clinking noises.)
While I think it is adorable to have her so interested in my jewelry and decked out, I don't love it going immediately in her mouth as she would ideally do to each and every piece. So, we often have to cut her off earlier than she would like from devouring all of my "pretties."
Side note: don't worry, I did not leave her sitting all by herself un-spotted on our dresser. If you blow up the picture and look very carefully on the right you can see my hand behind her back...
