Brief Update

Hello all!

Due to a few unfortunate events, (air conditioning deciding to "bite the dust" but then coming back in full force after the air conditioning "doctor" came to pay a visit...my laptop needing to be turned back into my school for a week to get the yearly updates) I have not been able to update lately.

In a nut shell, Jed was gone down in Mexico last week with a group from our church to build houses in Mexico for two families in need. This was all through an organization called Casas por Cristo. The house that Jed was working on was for a family that was living in their van as their house had been severely effected by flooding recently. This family had 4 little girls, one of which was a baby just about Ellie's age.

Jed is the guy in the hat on the far right towards the back in this picture.

They worked long hours through crazy humid-filled heat, and they were able to build the homes in about 4 days. Amazing.

While Jed was gone, I took a couple of classes through my school district on how to use the Smartboard programs to enhance students' learning in the classroom. Thanks to mom and Kari for being willing to watch Ellie for me during this time!
