In order to escape the "storm of the century" that did not end up happening on Tuesday night, we were up at our house to avoid the potential traffic that was expected to dominate everywhere on Wednesday morning. Here are some of the most recent updates:
1. The drywall guys came to 'mud up' the walls. I am not sure exactly what this means or if I have the term right, but basically, they make everything that had lines, gaps, pieces missing filled in and beautiful. You can see the evidence of this under our window upstairs. It used to have an air conditioning unit in it, but now it has been insulated and drywalled/mudded over. BEAUTIFUL!

2. The drywall/mudders also came in to fill in the drywall in and around the kitchen. It is starting to really look more like a kitchen again! Whoo hoo! Since snapping this picture on Tuesday, floors have also been installed, and I think that the lower cabinets will be put in as well. Maybe we are almost halfway there at this point?

3. And upstairs, Jed has finished the painting of the baby's room. We are not set yet on the furniture and the arrangement of the furniture, but here is a sneak peek of the colors at least for you to get a little visual.

This is all for now - we'll continue to keep you posted!
