A Weekend with Grandma

Diane was kind enough to come in town a little over a week ago to our house. Jed and I were busy attending weddings and dress rehearsals, and it ended up being perfect timing for Ellie to have some dear time with her Grandma.

Since Diane's birthday was just a few days away from the time that she visited, we had an impromptu party to celebrate the birthday girl.

We have been talking a lot with Ellie about birthdays and singing the Happy Birthday song, and she was over the moon to get to be a part of a birthday party. She, like most kids, was most excited about cake, ice cream, and presents. Grandma was happy to have Ellie's help with presents and cake.
