What a breath of fresh-air (literally!) it was to get to hang out for a few moments in the backyard. Though it was a little bit crisp, the sun was out, the birds were chirping (I didn't realize exactly how much they were chirping until I watched the video inside of the house), and morale was good.
Ellie has really become quite a little walker lately, and it was fun to be able to let her meander around the backyard in her new (but, slightly used) rubber sole shoes without worrying about water seeping in through her former soft-sole shoes.
She probably could have kept playing with this "popper" toy for a long time, but eventually we had to cut her off as we needed to go inside. Here's to more moments like this real soon!

Hear! Hear! We are waiting for moments like this to hang out in the back yard - it has been a rather disappointing week with that.
