This past weekend, we had impromptu mini-adventures on Saturday AND Sunday!
Adventure #1:
Saturday was spent at the park with friends and their little darlings. Someone had the fabulous idea to go to the park to play and get to feed the ducks and Canadian Geese. What a blast we had! It was fun for me to watch the other kiddos and imagine what it will be like when Ellie is a little bit older. I don't want to rush her growing up by any means, but I like to think about what her little personality will blossom into.
Here is Cam with his girls.

Watching the ducks and the geese squawk around the over-filled flooded pond.
Emmett and Ellie, the innocent bystanders of the whole bird feeding mission - more content to lounge in the sun and shade, snacking and eating as they please.

Adventure #2:
On Sunday, Jed, Ellie and I went to the early service at church for a change (8:30 instead of 10:45am, and with Ellie up around 6 or 6:30am in the morning these days, it seemed to make much more sense to us...)
We had planned after church to meander around the Botanic Gardens for a little while to use a free pass that we had gotten from the library. Lo and behold, some friends of ours happened to be in attendance at the early service as well, and word got out about our destination. Before we knew it, another adventure had hatched, and we found ourselves soaking in the gardens and an outdoor picnic-y lunch as well.
Who knows what more adventures we might find ourselves this weekend?
