Upon her entry to the Moses basket, tears were shed, and a paw/footshake was exchanged. Oliver did agree to leave for that moment, but he has been seen sneaking back there for a quick nap or two since then.
Also in the news: at the library during story time last week, a patron pulled my mother, the librarian aside to give her a homemade gift for her new grand daughter. Upon showing me the gift, we immediately decided to test out this new hat (there is also a matching blanket) to show off the attractiveness of her new gift. Perhaps we should have waited until after she had completely woken up from her nap first?
Lastly, here is a glimpse and an attempt to capture Ellie'e kicking feet on film. Though a little blurry, this is the best that I can do. It is crazy to me that she already has all of the makings of a big person's foot shrunk down into baby size. Little toes, little distinct foot lines, little nails...
