The Brick Man

More on the house...we had our brick guy come out to tuckpoint our chimney. While he was at it, he took care of removing some things from our house:

There was an air conditioning unit upstairs that we NEVER used. The second or third past owners had had it installed (maybe before the house had central air?) and it was time for it to go. It was bulky, drafty, and posed a lot of questions for people as they would walk up our stairs.

AFTER:

Another thing is that we got the bigger window in the kitchen taken out to create more space for us to move things around in it later. It is also was nice because it used to look straight into our neighbors kitchen which could be a little awkward at times. I guess I didn't get the "AFTER" picture, but picture basically the same thing (curtains still up...) but you can get the idea.

It is a little strange to see the exposed brick now in both of these places, but eventually they will be covered up and good as new. Another task, checked off the list - whoo hoo!
