UP North (in the UP of Michigan)

We got to be together as our little family of four for a few days at the cabin before Jed headed back to work again.  With the weather being sunny (but coolish/cold), we wanted to find adventures to traverse to spend our time.

Thus, we found ourselves revisiting Bond Falls.  With Maja strapped into her carrier and Ellie donning her closed toe "running" shoes, we traipsed in the woods along the falls.

At the bottom of the falls, there is an open area for people to wade in (and play) the cold waters.  Even though Ellie had shoes & leggings that ended up getting drenched, she had fun finding rocks and chucking them back at the water falls rushing 40 feet away from her (sounds scary and/or dangerous, but really, it was quite safe).

And, poor Maja, on our first night at the cabin, Maja woke up looking like she had chicken pox.  Nope, just mosquito bites.  I guess that it is becoming quite a right of passage in being initiated to the cabin (see Ellie's face in the purple photo below).
