DW Flower

We went to our town's "backlot bash" last weekend, and Ellie found a coupon on the ground for a free fish. For a few moments, we debated about whether to actually let our wee lass know that is what it was, but figured, what the heck? Why not get a goldfish? As long as we could get a tank to keep it covered and protected from the ever-so-innocent Oliver, we would be set.  Ellie cashed in her coupon and we welcomed  "D.W. Flower" into our lives.

Of course, before we could really settle her in, Jed and Ellie had to go get proper supplies to house, clean after, and feed the new fish. The sales clerk was less than amused that our said fish was from the carnival and spent time exasperatedly helping out while lecturing on the terribleness of animal fish cruelty from carnivals.

I guess now that I think of it, she's probably right, but the damage had already been done, you know? Lets just try to make this newly rescued fish as happy and healthy as we can.

And, I am happy to report, so far, so good. DW Flower appears to be happy and healthy one week later. And, we've got. Happy girl around here with a fish that can remind her of her fun, lucky day at the fair.
