We got quite a bit of water on our block last week during the storms. These are the views that could be seen from our front porch. Kind of crazy, huh?
Our basement survived okay with a little bit of seepage (nothing that a few carefully placed towels couldn't fix). Jed got a text early that morning from our neighbor about his car looking like it might start floating away. There was a little bit of water there, but after a trip to the shop, the car was totally fixable with no permanent damage.
All in all, everything ended okay, but will be chalked up in the history of our lives as one of the more kooky, random days that we have experienced.
