Morning with Daddy

Yesterday morning at breakfast, Ellie got a little bit messier than usual. Because of this, we had to strip her down while she was still downstairs. This kept her from spreading her leftover "jewels" from breakfast all over our house. Once her pajamas were adequately removed, we couldn't quite bring ourselves to bring her up immediately to get dressed for the day. There is something about a baby's skin that is just irresistible. We both had a few moments of snuggling with her, and of course that led to some squawks of resistance from Ellie. She is a busy girl who only wants to pause if she is sleepy/sleeping.

It was one of those moments that made me feel like a little family, and I couldn't help but take a few pictures to remember such a sweet moment in time.
