This is the part of the weekend that felt a lot like a typical American wedding. People walked down the aisle wearing corsages or carrying flowers. The bridesmaids were all wearing bright pink dresses.
Anjela was walked down the aisle with her dad looking absolutely stunning.
It was a little hard to see at times during the ceremony, so I didn't get a lot of pictures. It was a little different in that all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were sitting through the ceremony as well as Anjela and Reggy. Anjela and Reggy stood up along with the ENTIRE congregation when they took their vows and exchanged rings.

After the wedding, we had several hours to kill before the reception. Since it was super close to my home town neck of the woods, we actually got to hang out with my folks for a while which was nice.
At the reception (The Sangeet), the tables were decorated nicely, and we were given an assortment of fabulous Indian food to eat. I especially couldn't get enough of the Potato & Pea Samoas and Non!

As per tradition, this was the night that family and friends gave 'gifts' to the bride and groom by order of dance, magic, speeches, or singing. It was quite a production. I have some video of these things, but it is to much to post them at the current moment.
During this part of the 'show,' Anjela and Reggy were asked to come up on stage by some of their family members to play a little game. They were told to take off both of their shoes and give one to the other person. So, Anjela ended up with a shoe of hers and of Reggy's - he also had one of each. Both Anjela and Reggy were seated back to back and asked questions about "Who will do this when you're married? Who is smarter/thriftier/impulsive, etc?" Reggy and Anjela had to each raise the shoe of who they thought best fit the answer to the question. They could then turn and see what the other person was thinking - this turned out to be really funny!
It seems that most people changed outfits in between events at an Indian wedding, so here is the bride in outfit #2 (stunning!) and two of her bridesmaids in outfit #2 (also beautiful). I just couldn't get enough of all of the bright colors and the intricate saris everywhere.
Lastly, these lovely ladies and I went to high school together, and it was so nice to be able to catch up and chat with each other. Good thing we all had another day after Saturday to hang out!
