Shedding Some Light on the Grooming of our Cat

We love you, Oliver, oh yes we do.  But, unfortunately, we do not love what you leave behind in large quantities throughout the spring and summer.  You might think that it is just a little gift for us to remember you by as you find perfect resting spots around the house.  The back of the couch, the bathmat in the bathroom, the carpet in our front entry area are all regularly graced by your feline presence.

How do we know?

The cat hair, Oliver, your cat hair!  It is enough to drive a person wild.  We also find it nestled into nooks and crannies and clinging to our clothes at times.  We've had it!

(As I am writing this, I am realizing that this might be making our house seem really disgusting and cat hair-ridden to the point that you might not even wanting to step through the doors to come in for a visit. Please don't be that freaked out - I may be slightly exaggerating, and we do vaccum/clean/sweep often enough that it is not really that  bad...it's all for the effect).

I've groomed you, Oliver, with a little tiny comb to no avail to help you shed some excess hairs before they wind up around the house.  Enough already, the internet has been to our rescue.  Thank you, Amazon, for helping me find a small, affordable grooming brush for our one and only, Oliver.

The brush arrived today in the mail, and after testing it out tonight - I would say that it was a grooming success.  No, this isn't a new hamster that we bought, nor is it a new guinea pig, bunny, or other fluffy friend.  This is what we were able to retrieve directly off of Oliver. Isn't it lovely?  And, better yet, it was able to go straight into the trash and will NOT be deposited any where around our house.  Hooray!
