Hair Cut

Ellie's hair had been getting out of hand lately, and the time had come for her to get her locks chopped in order to tame her mane.

I tried to talk her into a hair cut earlier this weekend, and she was insistent that she didn't want to get a hair cut. "Only daddy get a hair cut," she kept telling me.

Today was the day we could put it off no longer. Armed with a cool seat, an Elmo movie to watch, and a penguin stuffed animal to hold in her hand, she made it through the hair cut. She did have a pained look on her face for the majority of the time she was in the chair but was all smiles once it was over.

If you ask her now about her hair cut, she is likely to tell you about her balloon and lollipop that she got upon completing her hair cut.

I love the way that the hair turned out (and not wrestling with her to comb it will be fabulous!) - short, sassy, playful, it suits her.
