Mow, Daddy, Mow!

Ellie has quite the ear for different sounds that are out of the ordinary. She perks up and gets really quiet and sometimes even points her finger towards the noise to figure out what it could possibly be.

I was upstairs with Ellie last week (maybe getting her out of her crib after a nap?), and she heard Jed mowing outside. I told her that daddy was mowing outside, and she kept repeating "mow" and wanted to find Jed mowing for herself.

We saw him outside through our front door window, and she really wanted to go outside and see him mowing even more up close.

Jed turned off the lawnmower and asked if she wanted to mow too. After saying "Yeah" he let her push it around the yard (while it was still turned off) while she was squealing and marching underneath his arms.

Maybe in a few years (okay, a decade), she will want to mow the yard all on her own?
