Per request from some of our most favorite people, we wanted to post a few videos capturing the current "day in the life" of Ellie clips.
The first little clip shows how curious she is, and how she consistently wants to have both of her hands "fully loaded" with items. My guess is that if she is lacking in items to explore, then she won't stop until she finds something to keep her from being empty-handed. She is also very devoted to carrying these items with her whenever she travels. This makes maneuvering difficult at times, but she strives to never abandon an item unless she has to. Usually, the item of the hour is her beloved "doggie."
This second clip is of her walking with a walker toy around our living and dining room. She doesn't have much strategy so far - her main objective is to walk excitedly until she runs into something. Once this happens, she usually yelps for attention or sits down to move away from the walker unless we turn it around for her. She is also starting to "walk" by holding onto our fingers with her little hands.
Ellie has also started to get the whole "give kisses" thing. Maybe this is from being out in Colorado over break where her 18-month old cousin, Addison, frequently modeled this for her. Since Colorado, she has been a kiss giving fiend - usually just a matter of opening her mouth up fully (as if to bite) and leaning in for a wet planting of her lips close to yours. It is really sweet, though I am sure not all people would want to be a recipient of this sort of kiss. As of this morning, she also began to blow a few kisses. Fun!

Oskar says "More, more!Ellie, Ellie! " as he shoves his face in mine. What a cutie!
We noticed that when we gave her a bath this past Wednesday night that she had to hold a tub toy in each hand. She also likes putting said toys in her mouth.
Megan, that's really funny and cute of Oskar! You should post a video of him that we can show to Ellie. :)
