Colorado

Peace be to my grandmother, Vera's memory.

As we gathered together and shared memories of her life here on Earth; it is clear to see
She was special, one of a kind, veracious and in the end a four foot nine spitfire, spunky gal who loved and touched many.
It is time for life to continue on, as we knew it would. Things have changed, it is a piece of a new world and void for all of us.

Grandma, we'll love you and miss you still, and we know it was your time. Thanks for everything and every smile and every memory that you gave us, especially these past few years. We know that you're home, safe, no longer in pain, just like you wanted.

"Forgiveness and love is what it is all about." -Vera Maxine Nelson, April 2008, in her last conversation here on Earth. Profound, but ever true.

Amen.

Anne, my sympathies are with you and your family during this time. That photo of your mom and her siblings brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me so much of my own family at my grandmother's funeral a few months ago. May God be with you as you grieve the loss of your beloved grandma.
